PARZIVAL Urheimat Neugeburt CD. Digipak
Parzival is one of the oldest Danish underground bands still existing. Original started as an industrial outfit under the name Stiff Miners, and have throughout their career released 7 albums – and is now settling for their eight album “Urheimat Neugeburt” – consisting of brand new arrangements of songs from their “Urheimat” (2010) album in a new, remarkable style - as well as a couple of new songs. The bombastic, wagnerish sound of Parzival have changed a lot through the years due to the groups constant hunger for new ways of defining their cinematic and atmospheric style that have taken them through martial industrial, symphonic EBM, atmospheric dark-wave, electro as well as strong influences from Russian, European and Asian folk music.
On their new album “Urheimat Neugeburt” Parzival have reintroduced electric guitars and acoustic drums, turning their sound into a more traditional rock sound, but still with majestic layers of their wellknown bombastic and dramatic soundscapes. The album is a reinterpretation of their 2010 album “Urheimat”. The original album is based on electronic and classic EBM style, whereas the new version of the album have introduced a new style for Parzival, which they label as “gnostic rock”.
